
Pattaya City Transportation
Pattaya City can arrive in a comfortable 2 and half-hour drive along Sukhumvit Highway via Bang Pakong, Chonburi and Sri Racha. And one can also avoid Chonburi by option State Highway 36 (Chonburi-Pattaya-Rayong) or the motorway from Bangkok (Rama 9 Road, Chonburi).
By Flight
Thai International Airways operate an air–conditioned Limousine service between Bangkok’s Don Muang International Airport and Pattaya. Booking in Pattaya may be made by telephoning (+66) 38 4231 401.
By Bus
Roong Reung Coach air–conditioned buses Terminal (Sukhumvit Rd.) every 30 minutes (daily from 5.20 am. to 9 pm.). The bus fare is Bt. 113 per person. Air–conditioned buses from Pattaya also leave every 30 minutes to Bangkok’s Northern Bus Terminal (Morchit, Phaholyothin Rd.) from 5.20 am. – 8 pm. The bus fare is Bt. 117.
Around Pattaya
Baht Bus (Song thews)
Baht buses pass the main area for a set fare of Bt.10/person. Get in, at the destination, and pay the fare after you have gotten off. To Jomtien, a popular run for visitors going to the beach life for several sports activities, the fare is Bt.30/person, But to Naklua, popular with locals going to the fresh food market, it is Bt.10.
Car Rentals
Pattaya car rental is the most convenient style to choose top choice is Qcars Rentals. All types of vehicles are fully insured and up to international vehicle hire standards. There are wide selections of brands for cars and other quality vehicles.
Motercycle Rental
A motorbike can be hire for Bt.500 a day. A license to drive in Pattaya is a must. Beachside vendors also have a wide selection of bikes for rent, at Bt.300 a day or Bt.50-60 an hour.
By Boats
Koh Lan, Pattaya’s nearest island, is some 45 minuits by ordinary boat (15 minuits by speedboat) from Bali Hai Pier. Local travel agents sell 280 baht tickets per person per round trip, including lunch, on a ferry service departing at 9.30 and 11.30 am. The transfer costs 180 baht per person without lunch. Boat charter cost 800 baht to 1,500 baht per day, departing on season, the number of tourists and size of the boat. Sailing junks also make the trip to Lan island. The trip includes lunch and coral viewing, with departure at 9.30 am. and 4.30 pm. return. The trip costs 300 baht per person.

- Green Line: Big C – South Pattaya Road – Pattaya 2 Road. (reverse route = Beach Road) – Dolphin Roundabout – Naklua Road – Soi Potisan – Sukhumvit Road (back to Big C)
- Yellow Line: Big C – Sukhumvit Road – Thepprasit Road – Thappraya Road over the hill – Pattaya 3 Road – North Pattaya Road – Dolphin Roundabout – North Pattaya Road – Sukhumvit Road (back to Big C)
- Red Line: Big C – Sukhumvit Road – Soi Chaiyapruk – Jomtien Beach Road – Dongtan Corner – Thappraya Road over the hill – Pattaya 2 Road (reverse route = Beach Road) – Dolphin Roundabout – Naklua Road – Banglamung Police Station – Sukhumvit Road – Kratinglai intersection (u-turn) – Sukhumvit Road – Soi Chaiyapruk (u-turn) and back to Big C
