Additional Instructions for impacted tooth

1) You may experience swollen during the first 24 hours.

2) Apply a cold pressure to the swollen area for 48 hours and then apply a hot pressure instead to reduce swelling effectively.

3) In 5 - 7 days, patient should come back to have suture removed.

4) If you have received antibiotics, you should follow prescription as instructed. In any case, if patient is allergic to the medicine received, stop taking medicine and call our dentist team immediately.

5) Avoid any kinds of exercise after tooth removal.

Post Simple Extraction Care

1) Biting gently on a roll gauze for 2 hours on the extraction site. Try not to chew or speak if it is not neccessary.

2) If extraction site is still bleeding after 2 hours, biting a fresh gauze of roll for another 1/2-1 hour is recommended.

3) Do not rinse, eat ice-cube, smoke, drink any kinds of alcohol stuff during the day after extraction. You may apply mouth wash or warm salty solution on the next day especially after meal (salty solution preparation : 1 cup of warm water : salt 1/2 teaspoon)

4) In case of pain, taking 1-2 analgsic tablets is recommended. If pain, in any case, does not decrease but this must be done 4 hour interval. If pain does not decrease but even increase after taking medicine, please contact our dentist team.

5) Do not use toothpick, finger or any objects playing around the extraction site.
