Cool Light Whitening

Is the procedure safe?

 

Yes,cool light whitening is a very safe procedure.

It does not heat the tooth thus no harm is done to the tooth vitality.The cool light whitening system has been specifically developed and tested to ensure that no harm is done to either enamel or dentine and that the pH level is neutral and will not produce any acidic effect associated with some other whitening products.

 

Will the procedure hurt?

 

No,this is a very simple procedure where no anesthesia is needed as no pain is experienced. However ,some patients may experience minor sensitivity during or following the procedure.This sensitivity lasts no more than a couple of hours and it can be resolved by taking an analgesic.

 

Is the treatment suitable for everyone?

 

Basically,cool light whitening treatment is suitable for everyone.While the results are vary ,The cool light whitening procedure are generally not designed for caps ,veneer or bonds.The dental examination will determine whether or not there is any condition that might prevent the treatment from working as it should.In such and event the dentist will recommend to carry out the corrective procedure before beginning the tooth whitening treatment.

 

How white will teeth get?

 

Your results may vary depending on the type of stain ,thickness of enamel ,your age and personal habits.However ,during the consultation the dentist will go over the patients’s personal expectation and individual clinical situation in order to achieve the optimum natural whiteness.

 

How long will the process take?

 

The cool light whitening process will take about 30 minutes.

 

How long will the teeth remain white?

 

The long term effect of the treatment varies from one person to another.In general,the results can last for years assuming  good hygiene and  reasonable exposure to staining foods and beverages.However,actual result may vary due to individual differences in tooth structure and personal habits.

 

To maintain your whiten teeth.

 

You shoud resume your normal dental  hygiene routine brushing your teeth at least twice a day,and flossing.However we do recommend that you keep the consumption of staining foods such as tea ,coffee ,red wine.etc.To a minimum ensure your long lasting white smile.
